Yoga Asana & Sound

Yoga Asana & Sound Workshop

Saturday Oct 28 10:30a-1:30p  | $44

Experience a soothing afternoon with Kevin Leep. Beginning with an inspiring yoga practice, allowing you to awaken both strength & flexibility in your body. Then surrender into a sound bath to realign & restore.

You will leave this experience feeling more grounded, connected, and at home in your body.

The yoga practice will begin with warming postures. Coasting towards longer holds of supported poses.

Opening the physical body by stretching, strengthening, and fully absorbing the asana allows the student to experience a restful savasana (corpse pose).

From savasana the sound bath will begin. Inviting the student into a state of deep rest and energetic cleansing.

Instruments used in the sound bath are Earth gong, singing bowls, tingshas, chimes, ocean drum and rattle allowing the energy body to be stimulated.

Creating an environment for potential negative energy to be released and a lingering feeling of peace and wellbeing.

Approximately 90 minutes of yoga and 90 minutes of sound, with a bathroom break if needed.

All levels welcome. Bring any props that allow you to feel most comfortable for the sound portion. Mats & props available for use at the studio.

About Kevin:

My yoga path has guided me to many different places and interesting people all over the world. My yoga journey began while completing my Exercise Science internship at Bronson Athletic Club. A few years later I was invited to try yoga at The Grand Rapids Downtown Market in the greenhouse. My yoga journey was no longer a bunch of poses, it was connecting to something more. After 6 months, I was eager to do a yoga teacher training. With some encouragement from my teacher, I decided to do Sadhana Yoga School's 28 day immersion in Bali, Indonesia. I've continued to deepen my personal practices by attending a 10 day Vipassana meditation.

When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I love to spend time with my wife, cooking, golfing, walking our two dogs, and traveling. I'm ready to see how you will be apart of my yoga journey
