Identify strength & lengthen muscles of your entire core complex in a supportive yoga practice.

In this 6-week series, you'll practice yoga asana (postures) while sitting on a chair or using the chair for balance while standing. This series is focused on connecting your core and pelvic floor.

Each week, you'll practice isolating specific core muscles to contract and relax. You’ll learn new techniques and revisit postures from the previous practice to build on and continue to progress. Postures will translate well to your home practice to allow you to continue to improve and build your core practice throughout the series.

Chair yoga increases flexibility, mobility, strength, circulation, posture and postural awareness, lung capacity, improves balance and relieves stress

This series is open to all and is suitable for seniors, beginners, mamas, young women, post menopausal, males, those recovering from injury or surgery, or those with balance concerns or disabilities.

Instructor, Alissa Newberg, will offer techniques for yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), and guided instruction on how to identify and utilize your core & pelvic floor muscles.

With over a decade of experience, plus training, certification and practice specifically in pelvic floor yoga, Alissa brings her knowledge and expertise, centered in postural awareness and body positioning cues, to lead you through your practice while offering use of additional props to enhance your practice and experience

**We have chairs, mats & props, but you are welcome to bring your own props as you desire. We are not responsible for any props brought from home**
