Tibetan Sound Healing

Friday, May 20  6p-7:30p

Join Kevin Leep for an experience in sound. Tibetan Sound Healing is an expression of sacred sound, which is constructed of sound frequencies, harmonics, and overtones.
Sound healing uses patterns of sound to realign our energy to its true nature. By simply relaxing and allowing the sound to wash through us, bathing us in healthful frequencies, we have the capability to “realign” on cellular levels.
This positive realignment may then manifest through us in all dimensions — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The Earth Gong and Tibetan Singing Bowls, along with many other analog sound tools, are incredibly efficient at re-patterning us this way.
Students typically lay comfortably on the floor in savasana, but a favorite meditation seat or gentle yoga poses are welcomed.

Students are encouraged to:

  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Bring yoga props (bolsters/blankets/towels) anything for comfort and support
  • Avoid eating a heavy meal ~2 hrs prior
  • Be well hydrated

***Yoga Mats & Blankets are available at the studio. You may bring your own for your own comfort. ***

About Kevin:

My yoga path has guided me to many different places and interesting people all over the world. My yoga journey began while completing my Exercise Science internship at Bronson Athletic Club. A few years later I was invited to try yoga at The Grand Rapids Downtown Market in the greenhouse. My yoga journey was no longer a bunch of poses, it was connecting to something more. After 6 months, I was eager to do a yoga teacher training. With some encouragement from my teacher, I decided to do Sadhana Yoga School's 28 day immersion in Bali, Indonesia. I've continued to deepen my personal practices by attending a 10 day Vipassana meditation.
When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I love to spend time with my wife, cooking, golfing, walking our two dogs, and traveling. I'm ready to see how you will be apart of my yoga journey
